Gaylord’s passion for design began at a young age, guided him to a degree in architecture from Clemson University, and led him to travel to study other cultures, art, and architecture.

A continuing intensive study of design, from atomic to universal levels, brings feeling and uniqueness to his work, which includes buildings, sculpture, watercolor, and photography.

Understanding the strong influences of what surrounds us, Gaylord considers architectural space a most important art form as we coexist in and about these created places the majority of our lives.
